Prepper Books, Authors

Why are Prepper Authors so important to Prepping? Like every new Prepper, I was hungry for information on prepping and survival. I wanted to learn from survival guides, but also by reading apocalyptic and prepper fiction. Good authors do a tremendous amount of research and have first hand experience.  They will share this information with you through their novels, preparedness guides and magazine articles.

Prepper Fiction has its advantages over the nuts and bolts Preparedness Guides. A Prepper Novel is written from the perspective of real people like you and me. These are people and families that we can relate to. The narratives hit home rather than being sterile and analytical. I believe that a good Prepper Author can persuade non-preppers to put together a Preparedness Plan.

Since its launch of February 3, The Perseid Collapse Kindle World has taken Amazon thriller and suspense readers by storm.

We are pleased to be a part of this project as well and are thrilled with the results since its release on February 3. The highlight thus far was our achieving number one best seller status in Amazon's Action and Adventure category as well as  continuously holding the title of the second highest rated book. This is an incredible honor and I want to thank all my friends in the preparedness community for making this successful for me.

For more on the contributions to this unique project, check out the authors of the Perseid Collapse World created by author Steven Konkoly.

Survival Guides provide us the outline of a total Preparedness Plan by focusing on self-reliance. They are written in an educational, instructional format. You will learn techniques and tactics for surviving on your own, including satisfying needs for water, food, security, hygiene and shelter.  Some are written by hardcore survivalists, while others may be geared towards the homesteaders among us.

A note about format. My iPad has become a physical part of me. I love reading Prepper Fiction on it. Many of you have Kindle Readers or other tablet devices for reading. However, I suggest that you purchase hard copies of these survival guides. I recommend that you build a Prepper Resources Library in the event of a grid down scenario that prevents you from having access to your beloved electronic devices. You might as well get used to reading "old school" because when the SHTF, we'll be living like it's 1899!
