Delay - the Five D's of Prepper Security

Actual security countermeasures can be quite complex, but they generally conform to the five principles of Prepper Security.  The first three principles are to Deter, Deny, then Detect. The fourth "D" is Delay.

When your physical barriers or security forces cannot stop an attack, they should at least be positioned to delay the approach. Additional barriers allows your security forces the time to regroup, reassess and reengage the approaching attack.

An effective delaying tactic will allow for reinforcements of your perimeter security forces. These posts will help.
